Do Orbeez Grow Faster in Hot Water or Cold?
Most people use normal water to grow the orbeez. In this way, the orbeez takes 6 to 8 hours to swell to normal size. But often a thought must come in your mind, do orbeez grow faster in hot water or cold?
Let me tell you about this matter. I have experimented by putting the orbeez in hot and cold water and I am going to tell you the results that I got.
Do Orbeez Grow Faster in Hot Water?
Orbeez are made of polymer molecules, the more water they absorb, the faster they will grow. When you put them in hot water, the holes in orbeez start to absorb water at a faster rate, which makes them grow faster, but remember, If the water gets too hot, they will deteriorate and lose their original shape.
So the water temperature is between 90°F to 110°F. The temperature that I have mentioned, if you do the grofasting of the orbeez by applying this temperature, you will make the size of 6 to 8 mm in 2 to 3 hours.
You have come to know about the fast growth of orbeez in hot water, and how they fasten their growth, but does the same process happen in cold water, let me clear you up.
Do Orbeez Grow Faster in Cold Water?
When I put the orbeez in cold water for growth, the results were the exact opposite of hot water. It takes a minimum of 12 hours for the orbeez to grow to a size of 6 to 7 mm at 50°F. After such a time, the orbeez began to decrease in size instead of increasing.
I will also tell you the reason why the orbeez increased in size so slowly and then it started decreasing. The pores that absorb the water started to close instead of opening up, due to the cold water.
How Long Does Orbeez Take to Grow
Orbeez takes 6 to 8 hours to grow 6 to 8 mm in normal water. But if you want to grow faster, you can use hot water and there are many other ways to grow orbeez which can help you to get orbeez in 1 to 3 hours in 6 to 8 mm size.
Why Do “Orbeez” Grow Faster in Warm Water?
Now you know that orbeez grow quickly in water, but you don’t know how they do it, so let me tell you that too.
Polymers expand quickly
If we put the polymers in hot water, then they start to expand rapidly, so these orbeez are made of polymers, due to which they grow faster in hot water instead of cold water.
It Speeds up Chemical Reactions
Another reason for this is that when we heat the water, the chemical reaction is accelerated, due to which the water in orbeez pores is observed faster.
Move Freely in water
The third reason is to move freely in the water of the orbeez. When you put them in normal water, they are stuck together, due to which they cannot move freely. If you put them in hot water, they do not stick together, but move freely and absorb water well, due to which orbeez grows faster.
Now I will tell you a little bit about my case study where I used water temperature to grow balls.
Orbeez At Different Water Temperatures
The method I told you for the growth of the balls was not obtained from first experience, so I had to repeat some experiments to get those results, so let me tell you some of them.
Room Temperature 78°F
When I put the orbeez to grow at room temperature of 78°F, it grew 2 to 3 mm rapidly in the first half hour. But it can increase its size by only one millimeter in the next hour. It took five to six hours for them to grow to a size of 7 to 8 mm.
Hot Water 212°F
Being kept in such hot water caused the orbeez to grow out quickly, meaning that it only took one to two hours for it to grow to its full size quickly. But these orbeez were of no use because they had lost their original shape and were now breaking apart when held in the hand.
Can You Grow Orbeez Faster Without Using Warm Water?
Yes, you can grow orbeez faster without using warm water. There are several methods to grow orbeez fast. Here you can find the Best Ways How to Make Orbeez Grow Faster.
